چکیده

Soil salinity is one of major deleterious abiotic stress limiting the yield wheat crop. Plant growth produce severely affected by various biotic and environmental metabolic processes. Application Potash fertilizer can reduce harmful effects saline increase crop yield. This research was carried out to evaluate detrimental on suggest appropriate dose potash achieve optimum production under conditions. There were four K doses as (ck, 50, 3/4th 100 kilogram K2O/ ha). The results depicted that application increased traits substantially regime, significantly. With potassium supplement, height plant enhanced about 19.23 %, tillers per (36.24 %), length spike (27.33 %) cm, grains (23.5 grain (24.11 kg/ha. It concluded soil applied rate at kg K2O yielded in maximum development 50 75 ha-1. Therefore, ha-1 may be adopted for environment.

Response of Spring Wheat (Triticum aestivum L.) Quality Traits and Yield to Sowing Date

The unpredictability and large fluctuation of the climatic conditions in rainfed regions do affect spring wheat yield and grain quality. These variations offer the opportunity for the production of better quality wheat. The effect of variable years, locations and sowing managements on wheat grain yield and quality was studied through field experiments using three genotypes, three locations for ...

Potassium induced salinity tolerance in wheat (Triticum aestivum L.)

Water culture experiments were conducted to study the response of ten wheat genotypes to external K application (10 mmol KCI dm3) at seedling stage under saline condition (0 and 100 mmol NaCl dm3). The data showed that there was an increase in the shoot and root length with the application of external K. The increase was more pronounced under control than under saline conditions. The better per...

TEF-7A, a transcript elongation factor gene, influences yield-related traits in bread wheat (Triticum aestivum L.)

In this study, TaTEF-7A, a member of the transcript elongation factor gene family, and its flanking sequences were isolated. TaTEF-7A was located on chromosome 7A and was flanked by markers Xwmc83 and XP3156.3. Subcellular localization revealed that TaTEF-7A protein was localized in the nucleus. This gene was expressed in all organs, but the highest expression occurred in young spikes and develop...

Influence of Exogenous Application of Brassinosteroid on Growth and Mineral Nutrients of Wheat (triticum Aestivum L.) under Saline Conditions

Brassinosteroids (BRs) are a novel group of plant growth regulators which regulate growth and development of plants. BRs application is also effective in ameliorating the adverse effects of abiotic stresses including salt stress. A pot experiment was conducted to assess the influence of exogenous application of BRs as a foliar spray on wheat (Triticum aestivum L.) growth and pattern of nutrient...

Effect of Iron on the Growth and Yield Contributing Parameters of Wheat (triticum Aestivum L.)

Field experiments were conducted at Government Adaptive Research Farm Karor Lal Eason, districtLayyah, to study the impact of trace elements on uptake of nitrogen, phosphorus, potassium and yield of wheat. The experiments were laid out in RCBD having three replications. Soil samples were collected before sowing of crop from 0-15 cm depth and analyzed for physical and chemical properties (textur...
